June is launch month for Foundry Senior Adult Ministries! Mark your calendar, grab a friend to bring along and join us. Contact Nan.Kelsick@foundrychurch.org for more information.
Tuesday Grab Bag
Tuesday mornings will never be the same. Plan to join us on the first and third Tuesday of each month for a grab bag of games, classes and service projects from 9:45 – noon. At noon, we'll stop and enjoy lunch together. Each week, we will place a lunch order from a local restaurant for anyone interested, or you can bring your own lunch from home. (You must order and pay for lunch by 10:00.)
June 4: Games, Games and More Games- Tables will be set up with cards, dominoes, etc. Grab a seat and let the games begin. (Box lunch from Jason's Deli - $5)
June 18: Using Cell Phones Class- Want to learn to use more of your cell phone features? Foundry summer interns will be here to help. Bring your phone and your questions! (Lunch TBD)
July 2: Using Cell Phones Class, cont.- More help with cell phones with Foundry's fabulous summer interns. (Lunch TBD)
The Great Escape: Brookwood
Tuesday, June 11 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
The Brookwood Community provides an educational
environment that creates meaningful jobs, builds a sense of belonging, and demands dignity and respect for adults with disabilities.
It is one of the local ministries Foundry
supports. Meet at Foundry to ride the shuttle. At rookwood, there will be a one hour walking tour of the facility,
followed by lunch in the cafeteria and shopping. Registration cost: $5, plus money for lunch and shopping.
Saturday, June 29, from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
The same great trip to Brookwood, but on Saturday so those who work on weekdays don't miss all the fun.
